SHOUT OUT: Lester's Oldest Visitor

While many visitors have traveled great distances to spend time with Lester, it was truly a special day when his 102 year old Aunt Eleanor Crockett surprised him at the hospital during the early weeks of his preparation for the transplant. At the time of this post's publication, she is 103.

Special thanks to all who have visited Lester at home or at the hospital during his health challenge.

SHOUT OUT: From the Girlfriends in God Women's Conference

During an Autumn Christian Women's Conference at Sandy Cove (North East Maryland), Lester's sister shared his story and asked for prayer. Attendees were there from numerous eastern states. Afterward, many stopped her to offer encouraging words and prayers.

In this video, the pastor (who is speaking) referenced "living and not dying"and "declaring the works of the Lord" from Psalm 118:17. This was particularly profound because they did not yet know that this was the Bible verse Lester had chosen to stand upon.

These women are from a church called Zarephath, in New Jersey. During this weekend conference, two groups of women from this church took particular interest and recorded separate videos of encouragement for Bucky2theBone.

(Recorded October 25, 2015)

This is the view of sunset from the resort. Yes, the sun sets in the west.
Sandy Cove is situated on the east side of the Chesapeake Watershed.
Because the water is to the west; we enjoyed seeing the sun go
down in a way rarely seen in this part of the country.

SHOUT OUT: Cousin Michelle's Encouraging Words

Visiting from out of town during the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, Lester's cousin Michelle, and her siblings, arranged a mini family reunion with him, his sister and son. The next day, she sent him this video greeting.

For those of you who do not know, a 100% matching marrow donor was found and preparation for his stem cell transplant is underway.

Please read his message below:

If there is a time in my life, where I need support, it is now. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and blessings through my difficult times & to continue prayers as I go into a more complicated and demanding part of my treatment.

I will be in the hospital at the University of Maryland Medical Center 22 South Greene Street, Baltimore, Maryland, in the BMT Ward, on the ninth floor, in room 924 for the next month or so. If anyone wishes to come, they can under strict quarantine protocol, that they will advise you of when you get here.

Love You all and "Happy Holidays to All".

Lester Crockett, Jr.
